May 14, 2009.
Object Innovations today released new and updated courseware on XML using .NET, targeting both
Windows desktop and Web platforms. These updated courses, available in both C#
and Visual Basic, target Windows:
The revised courseware incorporates three main enhancements:
- Updated to .NET 3.5 and Visual Studio 2008
- Covers Language Integrated Query (LINQ)
- Example program implemented in a multiple-tier architecture, with
separate tiers for data access and user interface
The previous versions of the courses using Visual Studio 2005 remain available.
(The older courses have course numbers 414 and 424.)
New courses, available in both C# and Visual Basic, target Web applications using ASP.NET:
All of these courses utilize a comprehensive case study illustrating the use of XML
in a practical business scenario, using different XML technologies with .NET, including
XML readers and writers, the DOM, and XPath.
The courseware comes with
separate lab manuals that have detailed instructions for labs implementing XML
programs with Windows clients (courses 4125 and 4225) and Web clients (courses 4126 and 4226).
The XML courseware complements
ADO.NET 3.5 courseware
released previously that also
has separate versions targeting Windows and Web platforms.
Shipments of the new courseware begin immediately.
