ADO.NET Courseware Updated to .NET 3.5

February 9, 2009. Object Innovations has revised its ADO.NET courseware, targeting both Windows desktop and Web platforms:

• 4120, ADO.NET Using C# (3 days)
• 4121, ADO.NET for Web Applications Using C# (3 days)

The revised courseware incorporates three main enhancements:

• Updated to .NET 3.5 and Visual Studio 2008
• Covers Language Integrated Query (LINQ)
• Example program implemented in a multiple-tier architecture, with separate tiers for data access and user interface

Both Windows and Web client programs are provided. The courseware comes with separate lab manuals that have detailed instructions for labs implementing ADO.NET programs with Windows clients (course 4120) and Web clients (course 4121).

The courseware is designed to work with either SQL Server 2005 Express or SQL Server 2008 Express.

Parallel courseware using Visual Basic will be available soon:

• 4220, ADO.NET Using Visual Basic (3 days)
• 4221, ADO.NET for Web Applications Using Visual Basic (3 days)

The previous versions of the courses using Visual Studio 2005 remain available. (The older courses have course numbers 413 and CS22.)

Shipments of the revised courseware begin immediately.
