VB Version of Visual Studio 2008 and .NET 3.5 Course
June 18, 2008.
Object Innovations today released the Visual Basic 2008 version of a course on
.NET 3.5 and Visual Studio 2008.
.NET 3.5 incorporates the important .NET 3.0 technologies, principally:
- Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
- Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
- Windows Workflow Foundation (WF)
It also includes Language Integrated Query (LINQ) and extensions to the C# and
Visual Basic programming languages, largely intended to support LINQ. Visual Studio 2008
provides effective tooling support for the new features in .NET 3.5.
The new course is:
This course is intended for experienced developers already familiar with .NET and
Visual Studio 2005. It provides a survey of Visual Studio 2008 and then discusses the
new features in Visual Basic, LINQ and the .NET 3.0 technologies. The course is very much hands-on,
with many example programs and labs. A number of the examples from different chapters share
a common business scenario of an order entry system. But the chapters are designed so that
they are independent, and it is quite feasible to create custom courses by selecting
those chapters of particular interest.
A parallel course on
Visual Studio 2008 and .NET 3.5 Using C# was released previously.
Shipments of the new courseware begin immediately.
