Object Innovations Releases New and Revised C++ Courseware

Object Innovations today released a new two-day course in C++/CLI that runs on .NET 2.0
and Visual Studio 2005. C++/CLI is an extension to ANSI/ISO standard C++ that targets
the Common Language Infrastructure (CLI), which in turn is an ECMA/ISO standard for
the Common Language Runtime (CLR) of Microsoft .NET. C++/CLI is new with .NET 2.0
and is a significant improvement over the older C++ with Managed Extensions.
The new course is:
This two-day course is designed for experienced C++ programmers to help them quickly
come up to speed on the C++/CLI language. It is current to Visual Studio 2005 and .NET 2.0,
which introduces important new features, such as generic types. The course is fully
comparable to the C# and Visual Basic Essentials courses from Object Innovations.
The course can be run on the new free version of Visual Studio 2005,
Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition,
which is ideal for instructional purposes. This Express Edition is a free download from
Microsoft. All the programming examples in the course
have been tested in the new development environment.
The C++/CLI course is part of Object Innovations’
comprehensive .NET curriculum.
Parallel tracks are offered in C# and Visual Basic, and Object Innovations will also offer
selected .NET courses in the C++/CLI language.
Object Innovations also has a curriculum of courses in standard C++ and has recently
revised its Advanced C++ course to fully conform to ANSI/ISO standard C++ and to ensure that
the course will run smoothly on multiple platforms, including Unix and Linux as well as
