Updated C# and Visual Basic Essentials Courses from Object Innovations

Nearing final completion of a comprehensive update of its .NET core curriculum to .NET 2.0,
Object Innovations today released
revised two-day courses in C# and Visual Basic for experienced programmers. The courses
are now current to .NET 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005, seamlessly using the new environment throughout.

These course are designed to enable the experienced programmer to quickly come up to speed on
the C# or Visual Basic programming language. The courses include coverage of important
new features in .NET 2.0 such as generic types. The new features are covered throughout the courses
in the context of where they are applicable.
A noteworthy feature of .NET 2.0 is the introduction of low-cost versions of Visual Studio,
including Visual C# 2005 Express Edition and Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition,
which are ideal for instructional purposes. These Express Editions are free downloads from
Microsoft through November, 2006. All the programming examples in both courses
have been tested in the new development environment.
The previous versions of the courses, which can be run using .NET 1.1 and
Visual Studio .NET 2003, remain available.
The C# and Visual Basic Essentials courses are part of Object Innovations’
comprehensive .NET curriculum.
