Revised ASP.NET Courses from Object Innovations

January 23, 2006. Object Innovations today released revised comprehensive five-day courses in ASP.NET, using the released version of .NET 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005.

The two revised courses are:

• 416, ASP.NET Using C#, Rev. 2.1 (5 days)
• 426, ASP.NET Using Visual Basic, Rev. 2.1 (5 days)

Each course has been thoroughly updated to seamlessly use the new ASP.NET 2.0 and Visual Studio / Visual Web Developer 2005. The courses consist of two modules, with the second module covering new features in ASP.NET 2.0 such as master pages, new data binding, themes and skins, personalization, and Web parts.

The previous four-day courses covering ASP.NET in .NET 1.1 remain available.

A noteworthy feature of .NET 2.0 is the introduction of low-cost versions of Visual Studio, including Visual C# 2005 Express Edition and Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition, which are ideal for instructional purposes. All the programming examples in both courses have been tested in the new development environment. The new database examples use the free database SQL Server 2005 Express Edition.

The ASP.NET courses are part of Object Innovations’ comprehensive .NET curriculum. Parallel tracks are offered in C# and Visual Basic. The diagram shows the core courses in .NET programming using C#.
