.NET Overview Course Updated to NET 2.0
September 6, 2005.
As another step in its program of updating its .NET curriculum to .NET 2.0,
Object Innovations today released a revised version of its one-day .NET Overview course:
The course is a good starting point for managers and developers who are new to .NET technology.
The course is designed as a seminar presentation with lectures and demonstrations by the
instructor. Programming examples are provided
in both C# and Visual Basic .NET, and other .NET languages are illustrated as well.
Seminar attendees will be furnished with comprehensive notes and programming examples.
The new version of the course uses Visual Studio 2005. Besides updating to .NET 2.0,
the course has enhanced the treatment of ASP.NET and ADO.NET.
Although the previous version of the course remains available, Object Innovations recommends
that customers consider using the new courseware immediately. Bob Oberg, founder of
Object Innovations and author of the course, said "We have found Beta 2 of Visual Studio 2005
to be very stable and a joy to work with. Since the software needs only to be installed on
a computer for the instructor, there is less risk in using the beta software."
Object Innovations is revising its entire .NET curriculum to .NET 2.0 and
expects its courses to be updated to .NET 2.0 by the time Microsoft officially releases
Visual Studio 2005 in November. Next up will be "New Features in .NET 2.0," with versions in
both C# and VB.NET.
Shipments of the new courseware begin immediately.
