Alan Gordon is a Group Program Manager at FieldCentrix, a company that develops
Internet-based software solutions for the field service industry.
His primary areas of expertise are object-oriented and component-based
design and programming. He is also an expert on COM/MTS/COM+, transactional applications,
and relational databases. Alan has developed software in

Alan is a regular contributor to Visual Studio Magazine and Visual C++ Developers Journal, and his article entitled "Create a Compensating Resource Manager to Extend Your App's Transactional Features" was published in the March 2001 issue of MSDN Magazine.
Alan and his wife, Tamber Lynn, have two young children, Bri and Bryan.
They live in Long Beach, California, where they are doing a complete

When time permits, he enjoys basketball (both watching and playing).
